Abstract
The article aims to address the issue of cyber warfare and emerging threat of information security of an individual as well as state after the inception of cyber attacks. It has emerged out to be a paradox in a way for those countries too who denied considering it as a threat . This article tries to answer that what is cyber warfare further explaining its types. Undoubtedly cyber warfare isĀ different and way more threatening than the conventional or traditional forms of warfare. Further it also discusses that why cyber warfare is used by opponent states against each other and how non state actors use it for their malicious purposes with the help of reasons and examples of incidents. Here the author also critically examines the already existing laws in this regard and most importantly whether these laws ensure information security of an individual or not. Lastly this article also explores the new phenomena of information warfare which has emerged especially after social media .PlusĀ the difference of cyber warfare with information warfare. In the end after the reading and analysis of relevant literature the set of useful recommendations are also given which can offer the solutions in this regard.
